Ruckus ICX switch setup.

Creating access

First, we connect to the ICX switch through the console. We make the physical connection with a standard USB cable with a USB-C connector on the switch side, the same cable used to charge newer phones.

The first setting is to assign a management IP to the switch and activate the web interface. Mgmt IP becomes 192.168.3.19, subnet /24, gateway 192.168.3.1 and we create a certificate.

What is 802.11ax 6G Wi-Fi?

What is changing in everyday life with the 802.11ax Wi-Fi standard? After all, the speed does not increase 10x higher. It is much more important to use the radio spectrum (air) much more efficiently. The Wi-Fi standard was originally created in 1997 when few believed in the survival of the technology, but some features such as CSMA/CA algorithms, or channel idle control, have their roots in this decade-long history.

So …

Ruckus Assistant in the selection of APs

Recommendations of Ruckus APs for different environments, it is worth paying attention to the choice, because larger APs have a more complex BeamFlex+ smart antenna solution, which penetrates better through the walls and has also more electromagnetic immunity. It is also worth looking at the maximum number of customers.

Ruckus APs are managed in the Cloud, Smartzone controllers, Zonedirector, Unleashed (up to 50 APs and 1000 clients, doesn't need license).…
